Much as I love Ammolite--I am very drawn to opals too.
This 15x10mm all natural opal has lovely rotating colors best seen in the supplied video--stills rarely capture the color movement seen in opals.
This opal originates from the fabulous opal fields of Africa that now produces opals to rival those of Australia--and at a much more reasonable price too.
This beauty has been set in Argentium* Sterling silver and is suspended from a handmade bail containing two small dark blue sapphires.
Argentium silver* is a blend of modern tarnish-resistant silver alloys, containing either 93.5% or 96% silver. Argentium alloys replace some of the copper in the traditional sterling silver alloy (92.5% silver + 7.5% copper) with the metalloid germanium.Because of its high silver content it is still classified as sterling silver.
